Soohoo Baby began the way many small things do — in a quiet living room, in the gentle exhaustion of new parenthood, with a baby on the floor and a hope that the floor could feel like a softer place to be.

We searched for a play mat that felt as considered as the rest of our home: something that didn’t shout, didn’t flash, and didn’t ask to be hidden away. Something a child could grow into — not just a few months of bright plastic, but years of quiet, curious play.

When we couldn’t find it, we drew it. Our first design, a soft solar system, came from drawing planets onto scrap paper while our little one napped — one for every world we wanted to share with her: warm suns, cool moons, a small, precious Earth.

Every Soohoo Baby mat is made for the way babies actually live in a home: tumbled on, dribbled on, dragged from one room to another. Soft enough to land on. Beautiful enough to leave out. Honest enough to last.
